When we first saw this space it was filled with leftovers from various construction projects. It was dark and looked like it had been overlooked architecturally for some time. Our first thought was to take advantage of the large lobby window to capture as much daylight as possible since the space was quite dark. We provided full architectural and interior design services including specialty lighting as well as custom specialty ceiling elements. We worked with a team assisting with the selection of furniture, textiles and artwork, much of it custom. The end result was a light, open yet warm space for the Google R & D team. Due to the nature of this project we are not permitted to show the actual R&D space which was modern, clean, light and user friendly for a team developing some very cool technology.
